{#sol15} except maybe 21/31

The March Slice of Life Story Challenge
hosted at the Two Writing Teachers
Join us for a month of writing!

Spring has officially arrived
along with a much needed break.
Nine days of really no big plans
except maybe ...

Nine days of really no big plans
except maybe
a weeklong visit of laughing and playing
with Grandma and Grandpa.

Nine days of really no big plans
except maybe
a scheduled hair therapy appointment
to feel fresh and new again.

Nine days of really no big plans
except maybe
a visit (or two) to the public library
for books, crafts, and a puppet show.

Nine days of really no big plans
except maybe
a trip to the big city to see

Nine days of really no big plans
except maybe
a date with my mom to get
our toes painted pretty.

Nine days of really no big plans
except maybe
one day for just me to probably
do some catch up schoolwork ... or not.

Nine days of really no big plans
except maybe
a little birthday celebration
with family and double chocolate cake.

Spring has officially arrived
along with a much needed break.
Nine days of really no big plans
except maybe ...

    spring will come,
    arriving late beyond the

    with flowers blooming
    and winter,
    long forgotten ...
    one day ...

    :)

  11. Lots of possibilities. I have never heard of hair therapy. Is that like the eyebrow doctor? ;)
We still have two weeks of school to go so I'm not ready to think of the possibilities yet, it will steal my momentum. And the momentum is much needed to get to the 'except maybe' part.

Slice of Life  hosted  at the Two Writing Teachers Join in and share a slice of your life. The March Slice of Life Story Challenge hosted  at the  Two Writing Teachers Join us for a month of writing! I have twin four and a half -- almost five! -- year old daughters.  I try to be consciously aware of what I say and do in regards to my body image and self-esteem and also with their body image and self-esteem. First of all, because I don't want them to believe everything that society says is true.  Even if they don't fully understand it today.  In addition, because they are fraternal twin sisters, I want them to understand they are individuals with unique and different bodies that God created for each of them.   However, society -- including my loving family and friends -- tell a different story and harmlessly create a comparison war.   My girls constantly hear how beautiful, adorable, cute, fill-in-the-blank with any other
