solsc.2012: sometimes 26/31

Join the challenge and write! Slice of Life Stories hosted by the Two Writing Teachers My almost two year old daughters will say  I love you when I say it to them first, but like Maya observed and shared in her poem  Sometimes , my girls also say   I love you in so many other ways.  Thank you for the inspiration today Maya! Sometimes I love you is crying the moment I see you walk through the door. Sometimes  I love you  is pushing my sister to the side to see you first. Sometimes  I love you  is wanting "Up, Momma, up!" even when you are already holding my sister. Sometimes  I love you  is grabbing a book, "Momma sit." backing up and sitting down. Sometimes  I love you  is sharing a lap -- pat, pat and reading with two. Sometimes  I love you  is not wanting to share a lap and keeping you all to myself. Sometimes  I love you  is just wanting to be held for a minute or two -- ...

solsc.2012: mom rule 25/31

Join the challenge and write! Slice of Life Stories hosted by the Two Writing Teachers Now that I am a mom, this rule of being a mom makes so much more sense. The number one rule of being a mom: Moms aren't suppose to get sick.   "Will you be okay?" Pain inside the back Partially moving to the front Quickly wishing the pain be gone Quietly searching for answers Reading on the internet Receiving more than we wanted to know Sickness, but what? Something is just not right Trying to sleep Tossing and turning Up almost all night Unwilling to deal anymore "Will you take me to the emergency room?" Our first day together brought us some one-on-one time . . . at the ER.  Tests were done.  Nothing conclusive, but the pain is still present.  Pain medicine provided. Time to take care of my Momma.  I guess Moms can get sick. Click on the buttons to return to the TWT blog.

solsc.2012: she's coming 23/31

Join the challenge and write! Slice of Life Stories hosted by the Two Writing Teachers It's Friday the last day before spring break and she's coming. She's coming. She's coming!  She's really,  really coming!! She leaves  early this morning before the sun even decides to peek beyond the horizon. She'll hop in the car with music and audiobooks and lots of time to think, so paper for scribbles of slices. She'll drive and drive and drive stop for a rest and drive and drive and fill up on gas and drive and drive and drive. Almost ten hours later she'll arrive. She'll be here! She'll be all smiles and hugs!! Be safe, my momma. Let the angels travel with you watching, loving, protecting. Click on the buttons to return to the TWT blog.
