today: i breathe and enjoy this little life of mine
today: is yet another amazing day that I am thankful for as life has slowed down
want to be: focused and disciplined to take care of me - mind, body, and spiritually
blessings: my daughters who provide me with so much happiness
thinking: i may just kinda sorta stumbled upon my one little word for 2016
planning: for another year full of moments, memories, and lots of stories
writing: little these days, but with big intentions to make it a habit again starting today!
loving: my newly published volume #9 of my slice of life writing (thanks Mom and Dad!)
grateful: for my loving family, supportive friends, and health
and today {again}: i breathe and enjoy this little life of mine - and an updated purplicious blog!

Great post, thanks for sharing! I'm stopping over from A Slice of Life. :) I'm new to the community! :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are slowing down this week and enjoying your life. Looking forward to spending another day with you and the girls. Wondering what you OLW for 2016 is. Hugs, Mom
ReplyDeleteVery sweet and lovely reflection, and I love that purplicious new design. Happy New Year, Michelle.
ReplyDeleteI love the format of this post!! I, too, am busy planning for 2016. I think I have my OLW...but I'm not 100% sure yet. Can't wait to see what you've picked. Happy New Year from one Michelle to another! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to see your name today- I have missed you the last couple of weeks. Sounds like you are getting some time to enjoy your family. Can't wait to hear your OLW. I love that your parents collect your slices in books. What special treasures!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely! And it was inspirational in getting me to dust of our blog and write a bit . Thank you for that. Best wishes for 2016!
ReplyDeleteGreat new look and the OWL logo is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI know I have to wait for your new OLW. For a moment I thought 'purplicious' would be a fun word to follow for a year - pretty and joyful ;)
ReplyDeleteThe format you used allows plenty of reflection and sharing. I am glad you wrote. Sending you a big smile and many warm wishes to you and your fmaily from across the ocean.
Aha! Looking for that snazzy app to make my OLW for 2016. I almost have it decided!
ReplyDeleteHoping you are enjoying a wonderful break!!
Love the simplicity of this post, Michelle, and you OLW graphic. Sometimes a few deep breaths is all you need to focus and remember what matters most. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI love the simplicity and the structure of this post, Michelle. It's hard to believe I'm already thinking about the 9th Annual SOLSC, but this post did it to me. (AND, we have a co-author meeting to plan for it tomorrow night.) That being said, may I use this post as one of the daily "Be Inspired" posts at the beginning of the Challenge? Please lmk if that would be okay with you? (Just shoot me an email when you have a chance.)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear about your OLW next year!
Neat format! My favorite part was the calm focus of the first & last line! Also, I love the new tagline under your blog title! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is always a great format and I love catching little snippets of your life within it. I think I have written more this December than I have all fall. I miss it as I am sure you do also. Love the new look...we have very similar tastes! I have been thinking about a change also! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteYou have so many blessings! Wonderful list.
