Have you ever had one of "those" days?
A day where you feel deflated and exhausted? Busy and unbalanced?
And then in one little moment your day turned right side up?
An email arrived in the middle of the day with
an unexpected note from a friend with impeccable timing
that whispered, "I'm thinking of you and hope all is well."
Thoughtful words that --
Made me smile.
Gave me strength.
Filled my soul.
So, do me a favor?
Go now. Send an email to a friend.
Let them know you are thinking of them.
A gift of words reaching out
that meant the world to me.
Let your words do the same for another.
What a great reminder. I just received an email from a student today that made me smile as well - mentioning something he appreciated. It is always nice to receive emails like that giving feedback on what is working. I am glad that your friend decided to send you this message and that the timing was perfect for you!
ReplyDeleteNot only did this little note cheer you up but inspired a lovely poem also. I took upon your advice and sent a little note to a friend. Thank you for sharing and thank you for writing. Hug.
ReplyDeleteA note, a smile, a hug - that's all it takes to turn our day around. So glad that you received a warm fuzzy to brighten your day! You are thought about and prayed for each and every day. Love ya, Mom.
ReplyDeleteYou're so, so right, Michelle. Sending a little love with notes brightens both the sender and the receiver! Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteA lovely slice! And something we should all do - you never know when it will make a big difference.
