I w...You unraveled this story with grace, Michelle. I was on Long Island on that horrific day, at school like you. The memory is seared in my heart because my husband saw the 2nd plane hit the tower, one of my friends walked with others out from the area surrounding the World Trade Towers across the Brooklyn Bridge homeward, and my town was one of the hardest hit towns on Long Island. We lost 45 people in that event and have a tribute site at the Village Green. The books you cited remind me that we must rely on hope and positivity to get back to the task of building new tomorrows in peace.
